Autumn is almost over, the clocks have gone back, the nights are drawing in. We have had a wonderful time throughout the season, we have celebrated Halloween, enjoyed fireworks, and created some autumn inspired art but we are not the only ones getting arty.

The pupils of Layston C of E First School have been very busy too. The whole school have been drawing, painting, cutting, and sticking to send us some wonderful artwork for our Layston Grove gallery event.

The beautiful pictures have brought us a lot of joy, we have had a lovely time looking at them and seeing them around our home. We are going to be picking our favourites and sending prizes to the children who created them. It is not going to be easy to choose, they are all so lovely.

As a thank you for all their hard work we will be sending some art supplies to the school to enable them to create more beautiful artwork, hopefully we’ll get to share their creations.

We have enjoyed the interaction with the children, albeit from a distance. We have so many plans for future activities with them, from baking to crafting and singing to exercise classes, we cannot wait to be able to meet in person.
